Make pizza dough the hard/fun way!

Recipe Ingredients for Pizza Dough

3 1/2 cups flour
1 cup hot water
2 tbsp yeast
2 tbsp honey
1/4 cup vegetable oil
1/2 tsp salt

Recipe Directions for Pizza Dough

  1. Pour water into bowl. Add honey and salt. Mix on low until well-blended. Add yeast and mix. Let sit 5 minutes.

  2. Add 1 cup flour and oil and mix well. Add rest of flour and mix well. Dough should turn into a ball.

  3. Once dough is balled up, place on floured board and knead for about a minute, then place into a groery bag or covered bowl and store in a warm, dry area to rise.

  4. After 45 minutes, the dough should have doubled in size. Punch it to deflate and let rise another 1 1/2 hours.

  5. Dough is now ready to be rolled out (or punch it again and wait another 1 1/2 hours).

  6. Form into flat ball about 6-8" wide. Press center outwards to stretch it out, turning dough as you push. Once dough is about 1/2" thick, use rolling pin to flatten to to 1/4" thick.

  7. Puncture dough with a fork so it doesn't bubble, and place on a grased cookie sheet.

  8. Add sauce and toppings and bake at 400*F until crust is light brown.

  9. (The nutrition facts are ONLY for the dough. Take into account the toppings that you add)
