Pizza Crust Recipe

not the healthiest but i save it for special occasions. you can also sub up to half of the ap flour for whole wheat flour

Recipe Ingredients for pizza crust

2 pkg active dry yeast
1 1/2 cup warm water (105 to 115 degrees F)
2 cups all purpose flour
2 cups bread flour
4 tsp oil
1 tbsp salt

Recipe Directions for pizza crust

  1. Whisk together the yeast and 1/2 cup of the water in a small bowl and let sit for 5 minutes to proof.

  2. Place 2 cups of the ap flour and 2 cups of the bread flour in a large bowl with the salt.

  3. Add the yeast mixture, the remaining water, and oil and stir until combined.

  4. Transfer the dough to a floured surface and knead until smooth.

  5. Grease a large bowl with nonstick spray, add the dough, and spray the top of the dough.

  6. Cover and place in a warm place until doubled in volume, about 1 to 1 1/2 hours.

  7. divide into 8 pieces and roll out. cook each piece in a cast iron skillet around 30 seconds each side.

  8. top and bake for 8 minutes at 400F. or until cheese is melted.
