A German Spaetzle recipe with chopped up Landjäger (Salami) and a vegetable like kale or spinach and or onions or chives or garlic.

Recipe Ingredients for Pizokels

400 g unbleached bread flour
4 large eggs
1 tsp salt
200 ml water
100 g kale
100 g fresh grated Parmesan cheese
283 1/2 g salami

Recipe Directions for Pizokels

  1. Chop up 4 Landjägers, chop up vegetables mix all the ingredients together with Kitchen aid and let sit for 20 minutes.

  2. Get big pot of water, approx 1/2 gallon to 3 quarts soft boiling add a hand full of kosher salt.

  3. Parse of little spoonfuls into the lightly boiling water, make sure not to be a full rolling boil, when you have several of the dumplings swimming around, let them cook for about 10 minutes. Remove , and place on a cookie sheet and sprinkle grated Parmesan or Appenzeller or Gruyère cheese and put in warm oven while the next batch of dumplings cook.

  4. when you mixing bowl is empty and the are all cooked, serve. Left overs can be lightly fried in butter the next day.
