Interesting pie with chicken and spinach, you require a little more culinary skills, which could be a real challenge. Spinach can be substituted for Swiss chard, and for extra credit - you can make a dough the day before.

Recipe Ingredients for Pita with chicken and spinach


For the dough:
300 g whole wheat flour
200 g butter
1 egg yolk
1 teaspoon baking powder
3 tablespoons yogurt
1 salt

For the filling:
250 g cooked chicken breasts
1 egg
1 egg
20 g butter
1 pepper
1 salt
80 g onion
1 tablespoon bread crumbs
1 tablespoon Parmesan
150 ml low fat milk
700 g spinach
1 tablespoon salt

Recipe Directions for Pita with chicken and spinach

  1. Dough - made of flour, butter, baking powder, yolk, yogurt and crisp salt and lave it stand in a cool place for about an hour.

  2. In the meantime, wash spinach and drain well, cut it into thin strips. Add little salt and leave to stand for about 10 minutes.

  3. Cook chicken, cut into cubes and chop onions. On butter heated briefly sauté chopped onion, add chicken and fry together briefly.

  4. Spinach hand drain, add chicken, sprinkle with Vegeta and pepper and fry for about 5 minutes. The chilled spinach mix with chicken, egg, egg white, milk, bread crumbs, parmesan cheese and pepper.

  5. Split the chilled dough in half and roll it in diameter 28 cm. Prick it with the fork and place in oven preheated oven at 400 Degrees for 10 minutes.
