In the south, it is believed that to cook pinto beans, you have to add bacon or ham. I'm posting this recipe to show that you can make Healthy Pinto Beans without the added fat.

Recipe Ingredients for Pinto Beans

16 oz Beans Pinto
14 1/2 oz Diced Tomatoes and Green Chilies
1/2 large Onions
8 serving Soup, Lipton, Recipe Secrets Onion, Mix, Dry

Recipe Directions for Pinto Beans

Put all ingredients into pot and cover with about 8 cups of water. Cook till beans are done. About 4 hours on medium heat.
