A rich, creamy herbed chicken dish enveloped with the light buttery flavor of crescent rolls.

Recipe Ingredients for Pine Needle Chicken

8 ounces boneless skinless chicken breast, cooked
8 ounces reduced-fat cream cheese, softened
8 ounces refrigerated crescent dinner rolls
1 tsp garlic powder
1 tsp dried parsley
1 tsp dried rosemary
1 tsp dried thyme

Recipe Directions for Pine Needle Chicken

  1. Poach or grill chicken until done. Allow chicken to cool slightly before cutting into small pieces.

  2. Roll out crescent rolls on baking sheet lightly coated with cooking spray. Press together any gaps to create a smooth sheet of dough.

  3. Spread softened cream cheese over entire sheet of dough leaving a half inch border around the edges.

  4. Sprinkle garlic powder, rosemary, thyme, and parsley all over cream cheese layer.

  5. Visually divide the dough into 3 sections and place the cooked, cut chicken down the middle third.

  6. Wrap the ends of the dough to completely cover the chicken and create tight seals at either end of the dough.

  7. Bake according to crescent roll package directions, or until the "crust" becomes golden.
