Recipe Ingredients for Pilau Rice

1 cup basmati rice
2 cups water
1 tsp oil
1/2 tsp cumin, ground
1 tsp cardamom
1/4 tsp cinnamon, ground
3 cloves garlic
1 tsp salt

Recipe Directions for Pilau Rice

  1. Rinse the rice at least twice

  2. in the oile, fry the garlic, cumin, cinnamon and contents of two cardamom pods.

  3. add the rice and stir for about a minute to coat the rice

  4. pour in the water and bring to the boil

  5. cover with a lid, turn down the hear to low and allow to cook for 15-20 minutes.
