Recipe Ingredients for Pie, pumpkin, homemade

2 eggs
1 1/3 cups sweetened condensed milk
2 cups pumpkin
1/2 tsp sea salt
1 tsp cinnamon
1/2 tsp ground ginger
1/2 tsp nutmeg
1 pie crust

Recipe Directions for Pie, pumpkin, homemade

  1. Preheat oven to 450 degrees.

  2. Bake, peel, and seed pumpkin or other winter squash.

  3. Combine squash with sweetened milk, pumpkin, and spices.

  4. Pour pumpkin mixture into a 9" unbaked pie crust.

  5. Place the pie on a cookie sheet, if desired.

  6. Cook pie in oven for 15 minutes at 450. Lower temperature to 350 degrees and continue cooking for 35-40 minutes.

  7. Remove from oven and cool on a rack. Store in the refrigerator.
