Authentic Cuban-stlye, a la criolla

Recipe Ingredients for Picadillo

1 pound extra lean ground beef
1 tablespoon vegetable oil
1 green pepper
1 tablespoon onion powder
2 teaspoons minced garlic
1 teaspoon salt
1/8 teaspoon black pepper
1/2 cup tomato sauce
1/4 cup dry white wine

Recipe Directions for Picadillo

  1. Fry the garlic and green pepper in the oil.

  2. Add the meat, break it up.

  3. Add the seasoning, stir.

  4. Add the tomato sauce and the cooking wine.

  5. Cover and simmer for 20 minutes on medium.
