Tasty, easy to prepare Cuban dish. Serve with rice and a green salad.

Recipe Ingredients for Picadillo

1 lb lean ground beef
12 oz tomato sauce
1/2 cup olives
1/3 cup capers
1/2 cup raisins
1 large onion diced
3 tbsp olive oil
1 tbsp cumin
1 Salt to taste

Recipe Directions for Picadillo

  1. Heat olive oil in skillet.

  2. Saute onion

  3. Add ground beef and saute, breaking up any clumps.

  4. Add tomato sauce, capers, green unpitted olives and raisins.

  5. Add cumin and salt (careful because capers and olives are salty)

  6. Cook until meat is done. OK to cook for longer.
