Recipe Ingredients for Phyllo Dough Apple Pie

6 apples, gala
1 tbsp whole wheat flour
2 tbsp Splenda no calorie sweetener
3 tbsp cinnamon
1 tbsp nutmeg
1/2 tsp cloves
8 sheet dough, phyllo

Recipe Directions for Phyllo Dough Apple Pie

  1. Preheat oven to 425f.

  2. Slice and core apples.

  3. In large skillet/saucepan, sautee apples in no-calorie cooking spray along with 1 tbsp cinnamon for around 7 minutes.

  4. In a cup, mix together Splenda, flour, remaining cinnamon, nutmeg, and cloves.

  5. In a small cake pan, set up the bottom crust for the pie using 5 phyllo sheets layered on top of eachother. [Be sure to first use the butter to butter the pan, and butter each sheet as you place it on.]

  6. Pour on apples.

  7. Pour Splenda mixture over apples as evenly as possible.

  8. Apply top crust using the last 3 phyllo sheets. [Again, remember to butter them as you place them on.]

  9. Bake for 30 minutes.
