Satisfies for 4-5 hours. High Omega-3s, Vit. C. No cooking. No prep time. Allow 5 minutes to assemble and 5 minutes to clean up the blender. If fruit is frozen, you've remembered to add the flax oil, and you blend for 4 minutes, it becomes like a mousse to be eaten with a spoon. No sugar added.

Recipe Ingredients for Phoenix's Breakfast Smoothie

4 ounces grape juice, purple, unsweetened (85 calories)
4 ounces milk, lowfat
1/2 banana, sliced
5 strawberries, unsweetened
1/4 cup cranberries, unsweetened
1 scoop whey protein powder
1 tablespoon flax oil

Recipe Directions for Phoenix's Breakfast Smoothie

  1. Put juice and milk in blender.

  2. Add fruit and whey protein powder.

  3. Begin blending ingredients.

  4. Add flax oil.

  5. Blend on medium for 4 minutes.
