I forgot to buy the mushrooms from the store, otherwise 6 ounces of baby portabella mushrooms would be in the recipe.

Recipe Ingredients for Philly Cheesesteak Stuffed Peppers

8 oz Oven Roasted Seasoned Beef
8 oz Provolone Cheese - 42% Lower Sodium
2 medium Green Bell Pepper
1 medium (2-1/2" dia) Onions
2 tbsp Butter
2 serving Extra Virgin Olive Oil
4 clove Garlic

Recipe Directions for Philly Cheesesteak Stuffed Peppers

  1. Slice pepers in half length wise, remove the ribs and the seeds. Slice onions and mushrooms. Saute over medium head with butter, olive oil. After the mushrooms and onions have sauteed for a few, add the garlic. If you add the minced garlic too soon, it will burn. Burnt garlic is a NO NO.

  2. Pre-heat over to 400.

  3. Slice roast beer into thin strips and add to the onion/mushroom mixture. Allow to cook for 5 to 10 minutes.

  4. Line the inside of each pepper with a slice of provolone cheese. Fill each pepper with meat mixture until they are nearly overflowing. Top each pepper with another slice of provolone cheese. Bake for 15 to 20 minutes until the cheese on top is golden brown.

  5. Serve and Enjoy!
