Recipe Ingredients for Pesto Spread

3 cups basil
16 oz chick peas
3/4 cups virgin olive oil
1 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon pepper
1/2 cups parmesian cheese
1 teaspoon red pepper
9 cloves garlic

Recipe Directions for Pesto Spread

  1. grind up 3 cups of pressed basil leaves

  2. add .75 cup of virgin olive oil

  3. add 9 cloves of garlic

  4. chop until smooth

  5. add 1 16 oz can of chick peas and blend until smooth.

  6. add seasonings and cheese. blend in by hand.
