Quick and easy pesto to top your pasta. A great change from red sauce.

Recipe Ingredients for Pesto Sauce

3 cups fresh basil leaves
1 cup walnuts, chopped
4 cloves garlic, peeled
1/4 cup Parmesan cheese, grated
3/4 cup olive oil
1 salt and pepper to taste

Recipe Directions for Pesto Sauce

  1. In a dry skillet, gently toast chopped walnuts until slightly golden

  2. In a food processor, blend together basil leaves, nuts, garlic, and cheese.

  3. Pour in oil slowly while still mixing. Stir in salt and pepper.
