Recipe Ingredients for Pesto

2 cups fresh basil
1 cup kale
1/2 cup pine nuts
1/2 green apple, sliced
1/2 cup olive oil
2 tbsp red wine vinegar
1 clove garlic
1/4 tsp sea salt

Recipe Directions for Pesto

  1. Put all ingredients in a blender or food processor. Blend on high until desired paste/consistency is reached. Store in airtight glass jar in fridge or freezer.

  2. Serve with whole grain (high bran) crackers.
