Green garlic sauce is yummy over whole wheat pasta! One serving is one tablespoon.

Recipe Ingredients for Pesto

1/2 cup pine nuts
1/4 cup parmesan cheese, grated
5 tsp. minced garlic
1/4 cup olive oil
5 cups basil leaves, fresh

Recipe Directions for Pesto

  1. Wash and dry your basil leaves. I use my salad spinner to dry them quickly.

  2. Using a food processor, process pine nuts and parmesan cheese.

  3. Add garlic, basil, and olive oil, processing after each.

  4. Serve over warm pasta. When I make this I usually freeze half. Half the recipe is plenty for a pound of pasta..
