The best pesto you will ever taste. The nutrition facts most certainly are incorrect--need to check nutrition info on walnuts and olive oil because current database descriptions are wildly wrong!

Recipe Ingredients for Pesto (Dave Lieberman)

4 cups basil leaves (about 2 hefty bunches)
3/4 cup walnuts
1/2 cup fresh grated Parmesan or Pecorino cheese
2 tbsp lemon juice
2 cloves garlic, peeled
1 Kosher salt
1 tbsp pepper
3/4 cup extra-virgin olive oil

Recipe Directions for Pesto (Dave Lieberman)

  1. Place all ingredients with 1/2 cup of the oil in a blender and blend. Gradually drizzle in the remaining 1/4 cup of oil until pesto is thick and smooth.

  2. Yield: about 1 1/2 cups
