Fluffy every time but DON'T LIFT THE LID!

Recipe Ingredients for Perfect Rice

10 fl oz basmati rice
1 tsp oil
20 fl oz water
1 small onion, chopped

Recipe Directions for Perfect Rice

  1. Boil the kettle

  2. heat oil and fry onion until starting to colour

  3. add rice and stir well to get covered with oil

  4. add boiling water

  5. season with salt if liked

  6. put lid on, turn down to lowest setting and leave alone for 15 mins. DO NOT LIFT THE LID

  7. when all water absorbed lay a clean tea towel over the pan and put lid back on top

  8. leave for another 7-10 minutes to absorb the steam

  9. fluff with a fork - perfect every time!
