Recipe Ingredients for Peppers and Onions Sauce

2 medium bell peppers, chopped
2 medium onions, chopped
4 garlic cloves, chopped
1/2 t dried oregano
2 T tomato paste
1 c Marsala wine
14 1/2 oz diced tomatoes
1/4 t crushed red pepper flakes
1 dash salt
1 t black pepper

Recipe Directions for Peppers and Onions Sauce

  1. Saute peppers, onions, salt and pepper until golden (5-6 minutes). Add garlic and oregano, cook for a couple minutes. Add tomato paste, stirring to combine. Add Marsala, tomatoes, and red pepper flakes. Simmer until thick, about 20 minutes.

  2. Serve over your favorite pasta!
