A pepperoni, cheese and tomato pizza.

Recipe Ingredients for Pepperoni Pizza GI Jane

4 oz wholemeal flour
4 oz white flour
1 egg
1/2 oz dried yeast (easy blend sachet)
1 tsp sugar
1/2 tsp salt
100 g Passata
75 g pepperoni slices , chopped
125 g mozarella, grated
2 tsps olive oil
1/4 teaspoon dried oregano
10 black olives, sliced
1 salt and pepper

Recipe Directions for Pepperoni Pizza GI Jane

  1. Heat the oven to 220C/Gas 7 and grease a pizza dish or a non-stick baking tray

  2. Make the base by combining the wholemeal and white bread flours with the egg, yeast sachet, sugar, salt and enough water to make into a soft dough. Knead this dough for several minutes until it is smooth and elastic

  3. Roll the dough out into a big enough round for your pizza dish and rub the olive oil all over

  4. Spread the passata on top and season with salt, pepper and oregano

  5. Sprinkle on the pepperoni, olives and cheese

  6. Leave the pizza in a warm place for 20 - 30 minutes so that the dough has chance to rise.

  7. Bake on a top shelf for 15 - 20 minutes
