This is a great appetizer when you want to indulge company or bring something to a party.

Recipe Ingredients for Pepperoni Bread

2 lbs Frozen Bread Dough, 2 loaves thawed according to brand instructions
1/2 pounds Pepperoni
2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
1/4 cup Parmesan Cheese
2 tbsp Olive Oil
2 teaspoons Italian Seasoning
1/4 tsp Salt
1/4 tsp Pepper
1/4 tsp Garlic Powder
1 egg
1/4 cup Flour

Recipe Directions for Pepperoni Bread

  1. *Note that ingredient amounts are approximate and can be changed according to your own personal preference (extra cheesy / less or more pepperoni).

  2. ** Make sure you get your frozen dough the night before you plan on making this recipe so the dough has the opportunity to thaw.

  3. Preheat oven to 350 degrees.

  4. Roll out one loaf of bread dough on lightly floured was paper using a rolling pin. I try to make a large rectangular shape and roll the dough fairly thin. Roll thicker for more a more ?doughy? loaf.

  5. Brush olive oil over surface of rolled out dough with a pastry brush until lightly coated.

  6. Sprinkle on Italian Seasoning, salt, pepper, garlic powder and a little bit of grated cheese to taste.

  7. Sprinkle on of the shredded cheese.

  8. Cover with layer of pepperoni.

  9. Sprinkle with the rest of the shredded cheese.

  10. Roll the loaf up ?jelly roll style? (roll the longer ends toward each other).

  11. Bake on cookie sheet (Pampered Chef ones work best to prevent any burning on the bottom) for about 25 minutes or until it starts to get slightly golden brown.

  12. While loaf is baking, beat up an egg (you can add a little bit of milk or cream for a better consistency).

  13. Once loaf is lightly browned (about 25 minutes) brush the loaf with egg mixture and sprinkle with parmesan cheese.

  14. Return to oven until the loaf has a uniform medium golden brown color.

  15. Let cool

  16. Slice it up and enjoy!!
