Recipe Ingredients for pepperoni & bell peppers pizza

3 1/2 cups whole wheat flour
1 1/2 cups warm water
1 tbsp active dry yeast
1 tbsp extra virgin olive oil
1 tbs sugar
1 tsp salt
1/2 cup bell peppers
15 pepperoni slices
1/2 cup tomato
1 lb mozzarella cheese
1/2 tsp salt
1/2 tsp pepper
1/2 cup tomato sauce

Recipe Directions for pepperoni & bell peppers pizza

  1. put warm water in small bowl and mix in sugar, then sprinkle yeast over. Set aside for 5-10 minutes.

  2. in a separate large bowl sift flour and make a mound with a hole in the middle. Pour yeast mixture, salt and extra virgin olive oil in the hole. Mix slowly with spatula and then switch to mixing with your hands. Transfer dough onto a well floured surface and knead. Sprinkle with flour while kneading until dough is not sticking to hands as much. Grease a medium bowl and put dough into ball. Turn over once. Cut an X on the top of dough ball and put extra virgin olive oil into the cut. Put damp towel or saran wrap over dough and set aside for 1.5-2 hours. Punch dough to get rid of bubbles. Cut into 3 even pieces and roll out the first piece into a 12in pizza. Preheat oven to 500 degrees. Put on baking sheet or greased pizza pan and press pizza into sheet or pan. Add pizza sauce, tomatoes, other toppings and bake 15-20 minutes. Pull pizza out and sprinkle cheese over and bake 5 more minutes.
