Cube steak, cooked in tomato juice and veggies.

Recipe Ingredients for Peppered Steak

3 cups tomato juice
1 green pepper
1 onion
2 celery stalks
16 oz. cube steak
2 tbs. olive oil
1/2 cup flour

Recipe Directions for Peppered Steak

  1. Heat skillet to med-high heat, add 2 tbs. of olive oil. Mix flour with a little salt and pepper. Coat cube steaks in flour mixture and add to skillet. Brown on each side.

  2. Chop onion, green pepper, and celery while meat is cooking. Add to skillet once meat is brown on both sides. Saute for a couple minutes.

  3. Add tomato juice and one cup of water. Reduce heat and simmer covered until veggies are soft.

  4. Serve over rice.
