This is a great dish to server over rice or mashed potatoes or fried cabbage

Recipe Ingredients for Peppered Mushrooms and Gravy

6 cups mushrooms (portabella)
1/4 cup soy sauce
2 red peppers
2 green peppers
1 large onion
3 tbsp gravy master
2 tbsp corn starch
1 tsp pepper
1 tbsp olive oil

Recipe Directions for Peppered Mushrooms and Gravy

  1. remove the fins on the caps of the mushrooms with a spoon

  2. Slice mushrooms and pour the soy sauce over them and toss. Liberally season with pepper and set aside.

  3. Slice the onions and peppers and warm a skillet or wok.

  4. Fry the onions and peppers until they are about tender (you still want them a bit firm)

  5. Add the mushrooms and cook for five minutes.

  6. Add the gravy master and toss until well mixed.

  7. In a container disolve the corn starch with about 1.5 cups of water. Add this to the pan with vegetables and cook until the gravy is thickened. Add salt and more pepper as desired.
