Asian style staek with green peppers and sweet onions served over rice

Recipe Ingredients for Pepper steak

1 1/2 pound flank steak
1 green pepper
1 sweet onion
1/2 teaspoon cornstarch
1 tablespoon corn oil
1 tsp sugar
1/4 cup soy sauce
1/4 teaspoon cornstarch
1/4 teaspoon pepper
1 cup of dry rice, cook according to package directions

Recipe Directions for Pepper steak

  1. vegetables - soak inboiling water for 2 min; rinse incold water, drain. set aside.

  2. flank steak - slightly frozen, cut very thinly against the grain. Dry with a paper towel. Sprinkle with 1/2 tspoon cornstarch and 1 Tblsp corn oil. Fry meat in oil until marbelized. Add soy sauce, cornstarch, sugar, and pepper. Add vegetables back to pan until evenly warm. Serve over rice.
