Green peppers, strips of beef in a pineapple soy sauce over brown rice.

Recipe Ingredients for Pepper Steak with Pineapple

1 lb steak
2 green peppers
14 oz of pineapple
1/4 cup soy sauce
1 tablespoon corn starch

Recipe Directions for Pepper Steak with Pineapple

  1. Start cooking the brown rice. When 20 minutes are left of the cooking time:

  2. Slice the beef against the grain into 1/4 inch thick strips. Marinate in soy sauce 1-2 hours.

  3. Slice the green pepper into strips and drain the pineapple saving the juice.

  4. Cook the beef until almost cooked through. Add the green pepper and cook until almost tender.

  5. Mix the corn starch into the reserved juice and mix until dissolved. Add to the peppers and meat. Cook until sauce has thickened.

  6. Add the pineapple, cook until heated through, but not mushy.

  7. Serve ontop of the rice.
