Recipe Ingredients for Penne Pasta with sauce and cheese

12 oz marinara sauce
1 medium onion, diced
2 medium tomatoes, diced
4 oz italian sausage
3/4 cup sliced black olives
1 tbsp extra virgin olive oil
14 oz Ronzoni Healthy Harvest Penne Pasta
1 3/4 cup Fat Free Ricotta Cheese
3 oz fat free mozzarela cheese, shredded
12 basil leaves, chopped

Recipe Directions for Penne Pasta with sauce and cheese

Make marinara sauce by browning sausage until crumbled; pour off any fat. Add onions to pan and brown about two minutes. Add tomatos, olives, oil, and marinara sauce and let simmer about 30 minutes. Add italian seasoning if desired. Cook pasta according to package directions; drain. Stir in ricotta cheese, then stir in marinara sauce. Spoon onto plates or serving platter and top with mozzarella cheese and basil leaves.
