Pasta with Chicken Sausage (pesto added seperately)

Recipe Ingredients for Penne Pasta

8 oz penne pasta
2 1/2 chicken sausage links
1 tbsp butter
1/3 cup half & half
1 tbsp reduced fat sour cream
1/4 tsp ground black pepper
1/4 tsp sea salt
1/4 cup fresh basil
2 green onions
1/2 jalapeno pepper
1 tbsp extra virgin olive oil
2 tbsp crumbled feta cheese

Recipe Directions for Penne Pasta

  1. Cook pasta according to directions (about 13 minutes for al dente). Drain and set aside.

  2. Cook green onion and jalapeno in butter and evoo for 2 minutes and add chicken sausage. Cook for 12 minutes and remove from pan. Add to the Pasta.

  3. In the pan, add pesto, half and half and sour cream until desired consistency is reached.

  4. Toss in pasta and chicken.

  5. Heat for 5 minutes until all flavors mix.

  6. Serve.
