Whole wheat Penne Pasta, with homemade tomato sauce and mozzarella cheese

Recipe Ingredients for Penne Pasta Bake

1 lb Whole Wheat Pasta, Penne
3 1/2 cups (Muir Glen) Fire Roasted Diced Tomatoes
8 ounce Mozzarella Cheese
3 garlic cloves
1/2 tsp red pepper flakes
1 tsp Olive Oil
1 1/2 cup Onion, chopped
2 sprays Pam, Olive Oil Flavored

Recipe Directions for Penne Pasta Bake

  1. Boil pasta until just before al dente.

  2. While pasta is boiling, cook tomato sauce, by combining onions, garlic, olive oil, tomatoes, red pepper flakes.

  3. Grate mozzarella, reserve 1/3 of a cup to the side.

  4. Mix everything together into a baking dish.

  5. Cover with foil, and bake in a 350 degree oven for 20 minutes.

  6. Top with the rest of the cheese, and bake until melted and bubbly.
