17 oz Beef, Ground, 90% Lean Meat / 10% Fat, Crumbles
1 box Penne Dry
1 package (10 oz) yields Spinach
5 cup Diced Tomatoes
1 tbsp chopped Shallots
3 cup Pasta Sauce

Recipe Directions for Penne with butternut squash sauce

  1. Brown shallots and ground beef

  2. Drain off fat

  3. Add butternut sqush sauce, tomatoes, and frozen spinach (still frozen)

  4. Boil penne pasta to al dente

  5. Add pasta into sauce, stirring

  6. Add 0.5-1 cup of starch pasta water

  7. Let simmer until sauce comes together
