Recipe Ingredients for penne with bacon, spinah, and mushrooms

16 oz penne pasta
1/2 lb bacon
1 medium onion , halved and sliced thin
8 oz sliced mushrooms
2 cloves garlic, sliced
1/4 tsp crushed red pepper flakes
12 oz fresh baby spinach

Recipe Directions for penne with bacon, spinah, and mushrooms

  1. cook pasta reserving 1 cup of liquid.

  2. cook and drain bacon, reserving 2 tbls of fat in the pan.

  3. add onions and mushrooms and cook about 5 mins. add garlic and pepper flakes and cook 1 min more. add spinach, cover and cook 2 min, stirring occasionaly.

  4. add pasta and a little water to skillet. crumble bacon on top and serve with parmesan.
