Delicious scones with pecans and cinnamon.

Recipe Ingredients for Pecan Scone

2 cups flour
1/4 cup sugar
2 teaspoons baking powder
1/4 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon cinnamon
1/3 cup margarine
1 egg
1 teaspoon vanilla
1/2 cup heavy cream
1/2 cup pecans

Recipe Directions for Pecan Scone

  1. Preheat oven to 375 degrees.

  2. Mix dry ingredients. Cut in margarine and mash in with spoon.

  3. Beat egg then add vanilla and cream. Add this mixture to dry ingredients. Mix in pecans when finished.

  4. Knead dough on a floured surface. Flatten into 7" circle then cut into 10 triangular pieces. For better browning, brush each piece with egg and/or cream.

  5. Bake for 15 minutes.
