This is a recipe I want to try, but I have not yet.

Recipe Ingredients for Pecan Pie

2 tbs. butter, softened(I use salted, Thorne unsalted)
1/2 cup dark brown sugar, packed
3 large eggs, slightly beaten
1 cup pure maple syrup (I use grade B for more robust flavor)
1/2 cup light cream (heavy is fine too, if you can't find light)
1 tsp. vanilla
1/8 tsp. salt
2 tbs flour
2 cups whole pecans (Thorne uses 1 cup of chopped walnuts)

Recipe Directions for Pecan Pie

  1. Preheat 350 degree oven,

  2. Cream the butter an brown sugar.

  3. Beat in everything but the nuts.

  4. Chop half the nuts and mix in.

  5. Pour into the pie shell and arrange the other half of the nuts in concentric circles.

  6. Bake 45 to 55 minutes until skewer in the middle comes clean.
