Makes great, very sweet pie. Especially good a la mode!

Recipe Ingredients for Pecan Pie Filling

1 cup pecan halves
3 eggs
1 tablespoon melted butter
1/2 cup light corn syrup
1/2 cup dark corn syrup
1/2 teaspoon vanilla
1 cup sugar
1 tablespoon flour

Recipe Directions for Pecan Pie Filling

  1. Line 9-inch pie plate with pie crust (see other recipe) and flute the edges.

  2. Arrange pecan halves on the bottom and sides of the shell and set aside.

  3. In seperate bowl, beat the eggs.

  4. Add the butter, syrup, and vanilla; stir until well blended.

  5. Combine sugar and flour, then blend well with egg mixture.

  6. Pour the mixture over the nuts in the pie shell slowly (try not to let the nuts move around too much) and let it stand still until the nuts rise to the surface.

  7. Bake in an oven at 350 degrees for 60 minutes, or until top is solid.

  8. Wait until pie is completely cool, then enjoy!
