Add in approx. 1/2 - 1 cup of your preferred sweetener. It varies with the sweetness of your pears. Also, add in 2 teaspoons of oil or butter.

Recipe Ingredients for Pear Muffins

1 cup Wheat Flour, White, All-purpose, Unenriched
1 cup Wheat Flour, Whole-grain
2 pear, medium (approx 2-1/2 per lb) Pears
0.75 cup Milk, Nonfat, Fluid
1 tsp Cinnamon, Ground
0.5 tsp Cloves, Ground
0.5 tsp Ginger, Ground
0.5 tsp Nutmeg, Ground
1 tsp Vanilla Extract
1 large Egg, Whole
2 Teaspoon Baking Powder

Recipe Directions for Pear Muffins

  1. Preheat oven to 350 F. Line or spray your muffin tins.

  2. Mash the pears until apple sauce consistency. Little chunks are perfectly fine.

  3. Add milk, vanilla extract, and the egg into the pears and combine thoroughly.

  4. In a separate bowl, blend together the dry ingredients.

  5. Mix the dry ingredients and the pear mixture.

  6. Fill into muffin cups and bake for 25 minutes.
