Recipe Ingredients for Pear and Berry Crumble

8 pears (chopped into one inch pieces)
2 1/2 cups fresh blueberries
1/4 cup maple syrup
1/4 tsp cloves (ground)
1/2 tsp mixed spice
1/2 tsp cinnamon
100 g ghee
2 1/2 cups almond meal
1 cup desiccated coconut

Recipe Directions for Pear and Berry Crumble

  1. Grease oven proof dish with some ghee and pre-heat the oven to 180 degrees celcius (in a fan forced oven).

  2. Mix together half of the maple syrup with the spices, then add to the berries and pears in a bowl. Place the mix into the oven proof dish.

  3. Mix the almond meal, coconut, the other half of maple syrup and ghee together with your finger tips. Place on top of fruit.

  4. Cook for approximately 30minutes or until golden brown on top. Serve with double cream or Paleo Vanilla Ice-Cream.
