Peanut Butter waffle that can be used for breakfast, brunch, or dessert. Serve with fruit sauce of your choice... or make an ice cream treat.

Recipe Ingredients for Peanut Butter Waffles (Belgian Size)

1 cup unbleached all purpose flour
2 teaspoons baking powder
1/2 teaspoon salt
2 teaspoons sugar
1/4 cup Smucker's creamy natural peanut butter
1 cup skim milk
1 large egg, separated
1/2 tablespoon butter, melted
1/2 teaspoon real vanilla extract

Recipe Directions for Peanut Butter Waffles (Belgian Size)

  1. Pre-heat waffle iron per manufacturer instructions.

  2. Sift together dry ingredients (flour, baking powder, salt, sugar) into a batter bowl.

  3. Separate egg white into bowl suitable for beating, set aside egg yolk.

  4. Add to Blender: milk, peanut butter, vanilla, egg yolk, and melted butter - process until smooth.

  5. Beat egg white until stiff.

  6. Add blender mixture to dry ingredients in batter bowl (wisk and /or spoonula works well) and mix until well blended.

  7. Stir in 1/4 of egg whites to lighten mixture, then gently fold in remaining egg whites until well incorporated.

  8. Cook waffles in waffle iron per manufacturer instructions.

  9. If preparing waffles for later use, place on cooling rack until completely cooled prior to storing in airtight bag/container for refrigeration/freezing.
