Recipe Ingredients for Peanut Butter Oatmeal Cookies

1/2 cup Shortening
1/2 cup Peanut Butter
1/2 cup light Brown sugar
1/2 cup regular Splenda
2 egg whites, beaten
1/4 cup skim milk
1 cup rolled oats
1 cup whole wheat flour
3/4 cup all-purpose flour
2 1/2 tsp baking powder
1/4 tsp salt

Recipe Directions for Peanut Butter Oatmeal Cookies

  1. Preheat oven to 375*F.

  2. Cream Shortening and peanut butter together.

  3. Mix brown sugar and Splenda: add to shortening gradually, creaming until light and fluffy.

  4. Combine egg and milk, add to creamed mixture.

  5. Fold in tolled oats.

  6. Sift flour, baking powder, and salt together and mix well with other ingredients.

  7. Drop by tablespoonfuls onto greased baking sheet.

  8. Bake for 12-15 minutes.
