Recipe Ingredients for Peanut Butter and Jelly Sandwich (traditional recipe)

2 tsp peanut butter
1 tsp jelly
2 slices whole wheat bread

Recipe Directions for Peanut Butter and Jelly Sandwich (traditional recipe)

  1. Lay out two slices of whole wheat bread on a paper towel or paper plate.

  2. Using a butter knife, add 2 tsp of peanut butter on one side of one of the 2 slices of bread. Apply carefully to avoid tearing the bread.

  3. Apply 1 tsp of jelly to one side of the remaining slice of bread using a butter knife and the same caution as stated above.

  4. Place the two slices of bread together with the coated sides facing one another. If desired, cut into smaller portions with a butter knife. Serve immediately. Takes about 2 minutes to prepare.
