A delicious cookie that's got just enough good for you to balance out the bad for you.

Recipe Ingredients for Peanut butter chocolate chip oatmeal cookies

1 cup Peanut Butter
1 cup dark brown sugar
8 oz. unsalted butter
1 cup whole wheat flour
1 cup chocolate chips
1 cup rolled oats
1 tsp. baking powder
1 large egg
1 tsp. salt
1 tbsp. vanilla extract
1/2 cup milled flax seed

Recipe Directions for Peanut butter chocolate chip oatmeal cookies

  1. Preheat oven to 350F.

  2. Cream together butter, sugar, egg and peanut butter, Add baking powder, salt, vanilla, milled flax seed and whole wheat flour. Stir until smooth. Add chocolate chips and rolled oats (for a better cookie texture, run them through a food processor first).

  3. Scoop out 1 tbsp sized balls and flatten them on an ungreased cookie sheet.

  4. Bake for 8-11 minutes (this is a trial and error process based on your particular cookie doneness preference).

  5. Let cool for 10-15 minutes before removing to a wire rack.
