Soft and chewy peanut butter cookie bar, serve topped with chocolate chips or chocolate butter frosting.

Recipe Ingredients for Peanut Butter Bars

1/3 c creamy peanut butter
1/2 c margarine
1/3 c sugar
1/3 c brown sugar
1 1/4 c quick oats
3/4 c flour
1/2 tsp baking soda
1 egg
1 egg yolk

Recipe Directions for Peanut Butter Bars

  1. Mix the butter, peanut butter, brown sugar and sugar in a large bowl until fully combined.

  2. In a separate bowl combine the oats, flour, and baking soda.

  3. Add the oats/flour to the butters and sugar, it wil combine to a heavy dough.

  4. Mix in the egg until the dough is crumbly.

  5. Press the dough into a greased 9X13 baking dish, bake at 350 degrees for about 15 minutes.

  6. Serve topped with chocolate butter frosting or chocolate chips.
