Cookie like peanut butter bars with chocolate chips

Recipe Ingredients for Peanut Butter Bars

1/2 cup butter, softened
1/2 cup sugar
1/2 cup packed brown sugar
1/2 cup peanut butter
1 large egg
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1 cup all purpose flour
1/2 cup quick cooking oats
1 teaspoon baking soda
1/4 teaspoon salt
1 cup semisweet chocolate chips

Recipe Directions for Peanut Butter Bars

Cream butter, peanut butter, and both sugars until light and fluffy. Beat in egg and vanilla. Add flour, baking soda, and oatmeal and mix. Spread in a greased 13x9 baking pan. Sprinkle top with chocolate chips. Bake at 350 degrees for 20-25 minutes until lightly browned and toothpick comes out clean. Spread melted chocolate chips with knife to make icing.
