Marilyn Smith's peanut brittle receipt

Recipe Ingredients for Peanut Brittle

1 cup sugar
1/2 cup Karo Light Corn Syrup
1 dash of salt
1 cup raw peanuts
1 tbsp butter
1 1/2 teaspoons baking soda

Recipe Directions for Peanut Brittle

  1. Cook in microwave 3 1/2 minutes (may need to adjust time depending on microwave)

  2. Remove and stir in 1 tablespoon of oleo

  3. Cook in microwave additional 3 1/2 minutes

  4. Remove and add 1 1/2 teaspoons of baking soda

  5. Add 1 teaspoon of vanilla

  6. Stir in well and fast and pour onto well-buttered pan or cookie sheet with sides.

  7. I shake the cookie sheet to help it spread. Let cool, takes about 30 minutes.

  8. Break into pieces
