2 cups peanuts
2 cups sugar
1 cup water
1 cup vinegar

Recipe Directions for Peanut Brittle (Laura Ingalls Wilder recipe)

  1. butter a cookie sheet

  2. spread peanuts evenly in pan

  3. put sugar and water in saucepan, stir and bring to a boil.

  4. stop stirring; boil 10 minutes

  5. add vinegar, then boil till starts to turn amber (7-8 minutes)

  6. pour evenly over peanuts

  7. let it cool, then break/shatter it
