Recipe Ingredients for Peach Upside Down Cake

1/2 cup butter
1 cup light brown sugar, packed
4 cups sliced peaches, drained if using canned, thawed if using frozen
4 eggs
2 cups granulated sugar
2 1/4 cups cake flour
2 teaspoons baking powder
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 cup hot water
1 tsp ground cinnamon

Recipe Directions for Peach Upside Down Cake

  1. Preheat oven to 375*; melt butter 13x9 inch pan, sprinkle brown sugar over melted butter anbd stir to blend. Add peaches to sugar and butter mixure and stir to coat a bit.

  2. Mix eggs and sugar, then add flour, baking powder, salt and cinnamon, adding hot water in between the flour. Pour batter over peaches.

  3. Bake approximately 30 minutes until toothpick comes out clean.
