Recipe Ingredients for Peach Caramel Crumble

15 oz peaches, drained
1 oz Stork SB
2 oz Sugar Pure Cane
1 oz plain flour
1/2 pint milk, semi-skimmed (Dairy Council values)
1 egg, separated
2 oz self raising flour
1/4 tsp salt
2 oz Stork SB
2 oz Madeira Cake , crumbled
1 oz Sugar Pure Cane
1 oz Coconut Meat, Dried (Desiccated), Not Sweetened

Recipe Directions for Peach Caramel Crumble

  1. Preheat oven to 160C/325F/Gas mark 3.

  2. Place drained peaches in a casserole dish.

  3. Melt 1 oz Stork and 2 oz sugar and cook for 1 minute.

  4. Stir in plain flour and milk and bring to boil, remove from heat and cool slightly.

  5. Stir into egg yolk.

  6. Beat egg white until stiff then gently fold into the mixture. Pour sauce over peaches.

  7. Make crumble: sift together self-raising flour and salt, rub in remaining stork and mix in the rest of the ingredients.

  8. Sprinkle evenly over the top of the peach mixture.

  9. Place in the oven and cook until crumble is crunchy and golden brown.
