Slow cooked lamb in a dry vermouth sauce

Recipe Ingredients for Paula's Lamb in Vermouth

27 oz lamb chops
30 cloves garlic
8 oz Vermouth - Dry
1 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon paprika
1 teaspoon cracked black pepper

Recipe Directions for Paula's Lamb in Vermouth

  1. Sprinkle lamb with salt, paprika and black pepper.

  2. Using a heavy skillet, sear lamb for 2 to 5 minutes, turning once.

  3. Add lamb, garlic and vermouth to the slow cooker and cook on high until tender (approx 4 hours).

  4. Remove lamb and set aside.

  5. Puree remaining sauce and transfer to a small dish to use as a basting sauce.

  6. Grill lamb on and open grill under medium heat, basting liberally and frequently with the pureed sauce.

  7. Keep remaining sauce to serve as a dipping sauce at the table
