Recipe Ingredients for Paula Deen's Mushroom Rice

12 ounces mushrooms
2 cups instant brown rice
1 small onion, diced
2 tbsp butter
4 tbsp low sodium soy sauce

Recipe Directions for Paula Deen's Mushroom Rice

  1. melt butter in saute pan

  2. add finely diced onion and cook until soft

  3. add mushrooms, use 2 or 3 types for a total of 12 oz

  4. cook until tender

  5. meanwhile cook instant brown or white rice in a separate pan

  6. when mushroom mix is ready add in 2 cups rice and soy sauce

  7. cook through until soy sauce is absorbed in rice
