Recipe Ingredients for Pate Chinois

500 grams Pork, Fresh, Ground, Cooked
6 large (3" to 4-1/4" dia.) Potatoes, Boiled
540 grams Cream Style Corn
1 large Onions
250 mL Skim Milk Beatrice
4 tsp Becel Regular Margarine
1 serving VIGO EXTRA VIRGIN OLIVE OIL
1 serving SOUR CREAM 14%
2 tsp Sea Salt

Recipe Directions for Pate Chinois

  1. Preheat the oven at 375 celsius degrees.

  2. Cook the potatoes in the boiling water until they are soft. While the potatoes are cooking, pour the oil in a pan and brown the onions. Add the beef mince, Worcestershire sauce if desired, salt and pepper. Don't over cook the mince.

  3. When the potatoes are cooked, drain them, add the butter, sour cream, milk, salt and pepper and mash them.

  4. Put the beef and onions in the bottom of a dish that you can put in the oven, top it wih the cream corn and then with the mashed potatoes.

  5. Sprinkle the parsley flakes on it and put it in the oven for 10 minutes. Broil it for another 5 minutes or until the mashed potatoes have a nice golden crust.
